Two weddings

Last week we catered our friend Meie's wedding. She needed the desserts to be gluten free and it was our first request for this. We were very happy with the way they turned out and so were the people judging by the few pastries left on the table at the end of the evening. It was a very fun wedding and we wish Meie and Mike the best!!!

Here's the table set up with the cake.

This was a gluten free version of our Chocolate Temptation Cake, with handmade gumpaste plumerias on top.

Everything ready for the bride and groom to cut the cake.

The table featured gluten free Alfajores, gluten free Cake Bites and Thousand Sheets Cake.

So a week later, our friend Grace told us she was getting married... in four days :) This was a small beautiful wedding so it was easier to pull it off with such short notice.
For the cake, we dressed our Chocolate Temptation cake with handmade fondant shells. All shells were edible (except the ones on the table)

Then, we baked mini versions of our Heavenly Coconut Tartlet along with some Quince mini tartlets

It's amazing how much can the Cake Bites change when they are decorated with some simple but elegant detail.

So then, everything comes together in the table.

What a great wedding! Thanks for trusting us in this special day!

Ryan's Baby Shower

The question most people ask us is: How do you do all this wonderful desserts and still manage to take care of the house and family? When do you find time to bake and design the setups?
I would say time management is the first key. But another equally important factor is passion. We are passionate about what we do and it shows. It won't matter if we were up all night working to finish, we'll still look at the finished concept and be so proud about it.
Here's our friend Ryan's baby shower set up. Initially it was supposed to be a cake but she likes the Cake Bites so much that we ended up with four different kinds of pastries and a beautiful tablescape.

The infamous Cake Bites

Our latest addition: French almond macarons filled with dark or white chocolate ganache

A classic and still so yummy

Our signature cake dressed for the occasion. Chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache and dulce de leche

The baby washcloths centerpiece and some handmade party favors to match the color theme

Some popcorn sweet and salty

The future momma to be...

It was a great fun afternoon, and it felt good to be able to talk about kids and baby stuff without the fear of boring somebody :)
Now I'm off to check on my schedule, remember TIME MANAGEMENT is the key!!!!
